Shopping with a six year old!

here's a picture of juliette at christmas!

So yesterday I went shopping with my sister Melissa and her daughter Juliette, my niece, for clothes for back to school for her and it was the funniest thing to see Juliette pick out her clothes. She is so funny! She is so picky about the clothes and the shoes and the socks she wears...and get this she is only 6 years old! Yup she is definitely a fashionista in the making. And then it was so funny to see her freak out over piercing her ears! I mean she had her ears pierced when she was a baby...but she ended up losing her earrings and her holes kind of closed up. So my sister and I were trying to convince her to do it again and she started freaking out!! It was hilarious! That's why I say if your'e gonna pierce your daughter's ears..... do it when they're a baby...cuz if it doesn't get done then...it won't get done at all!

Cesar and I's day out!

Cesar enjoying his pedicure!
Me, Dez, and Denisse...man my boobs look huge...aww well.

So on Saturday Cesar and I ran a couple of errands together and spent the day together. It started out with a trip to the dentist...where cesar and i got a check up and luckily for the both of us our teeth are both in good condition and now super cleaned...then we had some breakfast and Cesar went to go get a pedi and a mani! I unfortunately didn't join him becasue I got mine last week but anyways he enjoyed it. Then I went to go meet up with Desiree and Denisse for some lunch and much needed catching up! It was good we laughed, we talked and ate! I love these two girls! After that Cesar and I did some shopping at AE and Target and went to bed! Busy Saturday I know!!!

cafe tu tu tango-ed with the gruwells!

On Friday Cesar and I experienced the restaurant cafe tu tu tango with the gruwell's and it was awesome!!!! If any of you have never ate there...go eat there! It is so good and what's so cool about the food is that they serve you portions that are in appetizer style...so everything is shareable and it will not make you feel 100 LB's overweight when you walk out. We went to the one at the block with Rosh and Rachel and they are so fun! Nothing beats good dinner and a good laugh with these two!

video of patches

So here's a video of patches playing Fetch and being a little anti social!! :)

Patches day at the park

Patches loves playing Fetch!

Hey what's up guys!

last Sunday night... we deicded to take Patches to the dog park in Long Beach! He jad such a great time running around, playing fetch and socializing with the other dogs! Although it was funny at times becasue Patches is a little anti social as we noticed. He won't go up to the dogs...if they don't come up to him first...it was kinda of funny!! But all in all he had a good time and so did we. After the park we went to have some dinner on second street at one of our favorite places Open Sesame and walked around a bit! Hmmm...it will defintely be a challenge in the next couple of months to take Patches and the baby out!

disneyland!!!!

Cesar and Jose having fun with guns!

Getting ready to ride toy story!!!

Cesar scared on the Sun Wheel!

Last Saturday Cesar and I and our friend Jose and Veronica went to spend the day at Disneyland! Yeah Disneyland! Cesar and I haven't been there for a while so it was good to spend the whole day there. Although it was a little sad becasue I couldn't get on any of the rides that are my absolute favorite like splash mountain, space mountain, big thunder mountain....baically all the mountain rides! It was ok though...while Jose and Veronica went on those rides Cesar and I just chilled a bit and went on some rides that were not that intense. Speaking of which...after we got off the new ToyStory Mania ride which was super fun....Cesar and I got on the Sunwheel at California Adventure and it was so funny to see Cesar so scared of the ride. You see, the carts or gondolas that you get into sway back and forth and they sway pretty fast especially when you go round and round and Cesar was freaking out! OMG it was so funny! But all together it was a good day at the happiest place on earth!

update on the last weekend!

So lately i have been feeling really tired!!! Boo!!! I'm getting sleepy at a very early time now..which is like at 9pm...and usually i can stay up until like 11pm...but it's been hard for me to do anything at night becasue all i want to do is roll into bed and sleep! I think it's the fatigue that's getting to me...right now i am at 7 weeks and the baby kind of looks like a sea monkey...but no sickness yet! Yeah! Maybe i'll be one of those lucky moms that won't get any sickness...but we'll see! So anyways it's bee hard to blog every night but hopefully this little update will fill everyone in on life as we know it!

Last friday Cesar and I attended the Harvest Crusade at the Angel's stadium and it was amazing! We got to see the Katina's, Leeland and even country legend Randy Travis perform! The music was great and even the message was great! Melissa and Juliette even came along and i am so glad they did! It's nice to see the both of them engaged in worshiping the Lord...and i'm glad that Juliette is being exposed to knowing God a little bit better than before! Now i know that these crusades are more evangelical and meant for reaching out to non-believers....but it is so refreshing to go back to it every year! It's a really good reminder of why it is so important to have faith and trust in the Lord and that there is going to be something bigger for all of us when this world comes to an end. It was also nice to see that Pastor Greg Laurie is coping so well with the death of his son and all. I don't know if any of you knew this but Greg Laurie's son Christopher died from a car accident about 4 weeks ago...of course it was a devastating thing for Pastor Greg....but he still came out to speak at the crusades...which of course must have been hard and all but he did it and ultimatley paid tribute to his son. And he said something about death that really stuck in my head that night. He said that he knows his son is in heaven and that there is no question about it....and the reason he knows this is because his son was a believer in Christ. And that made me think that as long as we all have Christ in our hearts anything is conquerable...even death. And of course who isn't scared of death...i mean it kind if scares me a bit...but i know i don't have to fear it because when it happens it's going to be the most joyous time of my life becasue i will finally bewith my love, my lord and savior! Praise God!

weight lifting gone wrong!

Hey everyone! Ok so Cesar and I have been a little obsessed with the olympics lately....probably me more than anything since i have a tv at work and it is on like all day...but anyway....i just saw this on a report on cnbc and it is so disturbing...but not that bad! Check it out at

Basically this weight lifter from hungary lifted something that was obviously too heavy and ended up dislocating his arm / shoulder. Talk about pressure right? luckily he's ok but i don't think he'll be lifting much in the near future. see, even super-hereos can get hurt!

It's Justin's Birthday!!!

here's me, justin, christy, and cesar!!

Our friend and one of the funniest guys we know is celebrating his 24th birthday today!!

Our Weekend of Busy-ness!!!

girls night out in pasadena!

the future parents!
yummy ice cream cake!!

the burns and the castellons!
this is rachel!

so this past weekend i was able to hang out with some of my friends that i haven't seen in the longest. For instance like christina jones...who I hadn't seen in like a year and i totally forgot how hilarious she is and how much fun she is to be around. I also got to catch up with erin, christy, and amy. It was so much fun...i seriously hadn't laughed so hard in a while. since we all lived on the same floor at Vanguard...we all have stories to share that all of us will never forget...awww remembering the ol' days is so much fun especially when you're around people that are so darn funny!

then on saturday Cesar and I went apartment hunting / house hunting and let me tell you it was not fun! It seriously is so frusturating to find a decent place to rent that has everything that you need and at a decent price! But luckily we cam upon a great place in long beach...which is a little out of the way for me especially when i have to drive to glendale to go to work...but i think it can work. It's a two story condo that has two bedrooms upstairs, 2 and a half bathrooms ( two full ones upsatirs and the half downstairs) a patio, a big washer and a dryer and hardwood floors and everything! OMG it's so nice...and cesar and i both liked it. So hopefully the people that are renting it out will let us rent it out for a good price. we have actually met with them several times and they seem to like us and we like them so we'll see. But hopefully they'll decide soon cuz we need to let the complex know were moving out. So everyone pray that we find what we're looking for...especially with the new baby on the way...yup this place would be awesome to live in. But we're not going to worry too much about it...we both know that God is going to provide, like he always does, and give us the greatest blessing of all. prayer works people!

but after Cesar and I got done with all of that we went to a wedding at our alma mater Vanguard! It was my friend rachel's wedding...who i knew at vanguard. We actually got internships at the same place together...KTLA..woohoo! It was so much fun to carpool together over at KTLA and experience something totally amazing with another vanguardian. but the best part about the wedding...and cesar will tell you...was the IN and OUT truck! OMG...when cesar saw that truck in the parking lot of the school his face just totally lit up...it was the funniest thing in the world. i think he was just happy that he didn't have to eat the same ol' boring wedding food again. But it was a cute wedding and they're a totally cute couple. i hope to hang out with them a bit more now that they're married!
so our weekend ended with a bbq at cesar's mom's house for the celebration of out preganancy! I guess you would call it a pre baby shower or a pregnancy shower...i don't know...but it was cool to see my family and his family there getting along and celebrating together.... i thought the only time i was going to see that was at our wedding!!! I guess babies do bring famalies closer. So there was tons of food and lots of questions of how i'm feeling...but to be honest i really don't feel much difference yet. I mean my jeans still fit...so i guess that's a good thing and i haven't had any morning sickness yet (which will probably come in the next couple of weeks) but i do feel bloated all the time...so i don't know if that's a side effect of the first couple of weeks of being preganant...but i guess i'll find out about it this week at the doctors! it's so funny though i am now seeing myself in a totally different way...and to be honest it's kind of making me upset because i know my body is changing and i think becasue i know that it's changing my confidence is a bit low....and i'm a pretty confident person...so this feeling is totally awkward. But i guess everyone goes through that right? Maybe i'll just go buy some new clothes and shoes...that always seems to boost my confidence level :)

Our eggo is preggo!

hey everyone! So it looks like we're pregnant! I know, i know this is something totally unexpected..but i guess after two pregnancy tests it's almost certain that i am sperminated! I haven't had a doctor's visit yet so i really don't know too much details...but i'll make sure to update as I go along this journey into motherhood! God is good!

While Cesar's away Patty will play!

This is Juliette and me B4 the ride started...

Here's my Nino, Nina, Juliette, and my mom!
Yummy BBQ!!

So I had a fun weekend without my hubby...sad! Well I managed to get through the weekend though! Let's see...on friday I came home from work and I had a nice dinner with Javier (one of my good guy friends from way back) at a good peruvian restaurant right around the corner from our place...(thanks Javi for letting me know about this yummy secret!!) and got to catch up on ol' times! Then on saturday I had a long morning of apartment / house searching in the LB area....and there was a definite potential place that I was very interested in, but I got to take Cesar to see it and see what he thinks! Then I spent the rest of the night at the OC Fair...yay! I went with my favorite neice Juliette, my mom and my nina and nino! We had lot's of fun eating, walking and riding some rides! Oh yeah and taking a to of pics with the cheesy cardboard cut outs!hahahaha And of course Sunday Cesar got back in the morning and we spent the day together going to church, visiting his mom, and having dinner with our two good friends Jose and Vero!
